Why aren't there any good non-social-network-like art sites like VCL that allow non-anthro as well run on sentence is run on.
Collaboration with Huskie. I commissioned her to do the lines, and then I coloured it with markers, coloured pencils, pencils, ballpoints, gouache, and fineliners (microns, prismacolor fineliner).

I got my laptop back earlier than expected. They fixed my screen problem and even replaced my missing key (unexpectedly, for free). Originally I lost the 's' so I took off the 'Fn' key and stuck it into the 's' place, upside-down. They put in a new Fn key. Now I have 2, Yay.
Planning to scan shit/draw once I'm done with classes by the end of this week. |

So, the image. It's for The Pin-Up Portfolio ( http://pinupportfolio.com/ ). A samurai-themed red panda done in markers, pencils, coloured pencils, ballpoints, gouache, acrylics, and conté. The colours are a lot nicer than my watercolour paintings, but this media takes way too long.
Thumbnail looks way better than the fullview. I screwed up on the uh symmetry and some angles (such as the short sword). Left the flag for last. By that point I was bored so I half-assed it blah blah blah. Note to self: STOP. BEING. LAZY.

Today, a pissed off bus driver caught me using student tickets with an expired card and I realized: 1) my student discount card expired (seriously didn't know..) 2) I'm an old hag - should be using tokens like an adult. I didn't have enough change. Fortunately I didn't have to gtfo and walk in the blizzard because some guy on the bus paid part of the fare for me, how embarrassing. Thanks, person.
I have an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out in January, two days before school starts again. I hope two days is enough time. How bad could it possibly be? :D

- School doodle on a folded piece of newsprint found in the art storage room. Red and black ballpoints. Yes I drew nekkid dog at school; later in business, my loose papers fell out of my notebook and onto my desk. Of the notes that fell out, this drawing just HAD to land ontop of it all. The girl next to me who isn't so great at speaking english probably thinks I'm a weirdo.
- Rikki outfit doodles. Haven't figured out whether or not track pants are "cool".. The heart patch on the pants should have been pink but I only had red at the time.

This is a book assignment for my art class. I don't think my teacher is impressed because it isn't conceptual enough. (Which sucks because I wasted a lot of time on it). I chose horoscopes because I couldn't think of anything else (personally, I think horoscopes are bullshit and whoever pays people to write them is being screwed over, no offence).
My attempt to finish binding the book hasn't completely failed yet, but DAMN- it's so frustrating I want to throw it at someone.
Broke a sewing needle in half (WTF needle why do you fail me now?!), super glued my hand.. etc, etc. Thing is falling apart in general.
[Edit: The assignment was to make a book that illustrates a personal list or set of things (minimum 10) in whatever media. It was also supposed to be conceptual so.. i r fail yay oh well]
